Assistance to victims of torture

OMCT’s urgent assistance to victims of torture is part of its global effort to ensure that victims of torture receive redress and rehabilitation by responding immediately in an effective and appropriate manner to their needs. OMCT is currently the only international non-governmental organisation to provide indispensable and urgent legal, medical and/or social assistance directly to women, men and children who have suffered, or are at risk of, torture. Thanks to the members of the SOS-Torture Network, OMCT is able to identify and assess requests for urgent assistance and grant the necessary aid in a very short time. [Read more…]
