Torture roads vol n°1 : Mapping of violations suffered by people on the move in Tunisia

This report highlights the scale and nature of human rights violations committed in Tunisia between July and October 2023 against migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.

The report identifies a typology of violations suffered by people on the move, including forced evictions from their homes, physical and psychological violence committed by both citizens and security agents, denial of access to healthcare, arbitrary arrests and detentions, arbitrary and forced displacements within Tunisia, particularly to border areas, and deportations to Algeria and Libya. This institutional violence indiscriminately affects people on the move, regardless of their status, whether they have legal status or not, including refugees and asylum seekers.
