Cameroon: Call for project for civil society participation during the 81st session of the United Nations Committee against Torture

The World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT) benefits from the financial support of the European Union (EU) in the framework of the United Against Torture consortium and the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs to support the initiatives of Cameroonian civil society aiming to participate in the review of the country by the United Nations Committee against Torture.

The total amount available for this project is EUR 8,000.

This call for projects targets civil society organisations capable of organising analysis and advocacy activities to prepare for the State's review in November 2024 in Geneva.

The OMCT wishes to mobilise Cameroonian civil society to draft and submit an alternative report to that of the State of Cameroon and to carry out consultation, advocacy and communication activities around this report.

Applications must be emailed only to Isidore NGUEULEU, OMCT Head of Africa Desk (icnd@omct.org) and Charlotte MANCINI, Human Rights Adviser (cma@omct.org). The deadline is 25 May 2024.
