El Centro de Estudios Legales y Sociales (CELS) is an Argentinian human rights organisation created in 1979 during the country’s military dictatorship. The organisation centers on memory, truth, and justice for the crimes perpetrated by the State by addressing institutional violence, incarceration policies, social inclusion, etc. The CELS works with national and international strategic litigation, conducts research, and aligns itself with other organisations and movements.
