Share
The World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT) and the Cross Cultural Foundation Thailand (CrCF) submitted a joint report to the 53rd Session of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Working Group. The report evaluates Thailand's implementation of the recommendations it accepted during its previous UPR cycle and highlights persistent human rights violations in five key areas: torture and other ill-treatment; abuse and deaths during military conscription; the degrading use of restraints in court proceedings; enforced disappearances and transnational repression; and the judicial harassment of human rights defenders.
