Areas of Work
Based in Kinshasa, the AUDF was created in 2007. It provides legal assistance for victims of human rights violations, various forms of assistance to victims of torture, and works to protect human rights defenders. It drafts reports and policy papers and cooperates with the United Nations Joint Human Rights Office (UNJHRO) in the DRC.
The AUDF coordinated until 2020 the Network for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders, Victims, Witnesses and Media Professionals - "REPRODEV" - which is present throughout the country.
