Almost 15 years after the end of the decade-long armed conflict, thousands of Nepalese victims of international crimes have yet to obtain justice and reparations. Throughout the country, the security forces keep committing extrajudicial executions, torture, and sexual violence, despite the country being a party to the Convention against Torture. The work of civil society organisations is regularly attacked, in particular through the development of restrictive legislation.
The OMCT engages with Nepalese partners within the framework of the Asia Litigators Group and the Working Group on Women and Torture to document cases and address impunity.
